Pantone has done it again! This year the color of the year is unconventional, dreamy, mystical and spiritual.

This cold winter has me longing for spring days. Here’s a throwback to my trip to Amsterdam around the same time last year.
Woke up today in winter wonderland.
Honestly, I was so excited because (A) I don’t get to see snow very often and (B) definitely wasn’t expecting it in Florence since, it last snowed here seven years ago.
In our world of technology, there are some kinds that are outright outrageous and others absolutely necessary. There is a third kind however, which might seem totally unnecessary at first but soon you can’t imagine living without it 😛
Allow me to convince you about this very specific third category of home improvement gadgets which is going to change your life. Buckle up!
When it comes to interior decorating, accessories are the key to making a statement. It can make or break a room (along with lighting, which is super important as well, but another discussion).
One of my tricks to amazing decor is to keep the main furniture pieces simple and basic and go crazy with accessories. There are so many looks to create and have fun with.
Often times at school my projects involve around computers, floor plans, renderings, 3d and such( since I am a student of Interior Design!). But once in a while, some light projects are refreshing and this one from my materials class was a super cool assignment.
Hey all! This week instead of a sketch, allow me to share a super fun DIY project of making your own cute lighting with just two materials and a bulb (of course).
It all began with a sketch 🙂 Here we go!
After an intensive week of presentations and deadlines at school, we were given a window of freedom. My roommate suggested a trip to Ferrara for the weekend and of course I jumped at it! A weekend away was all I needed. And it was perfect!
Do you ever get that sudden creative urge, when you’re dying to do something?? You just can’t think of anything else. I get that once in a while when a sudden idea comes to me and I have to see if it works or not! I go into frenzy.
After days of rain, on the second day of autumn, Florence finally saw some sunshine. The skies cleared up and city went back to usual vibrant self with tourists filling up every corner, musicians entertaining by the streets, painters taking out their easels and gelato shops overflowing with customers. 23rd Sep was also the inauguration of the 30th International Biennial of Antiques in Florence.
Hello everyone! How is everyone doing?
Personally, last week was a bit stressful and involved a lot of flights and trains and busses. (Travelling makes me anxious, especially when I’m doing it alone!)
Too many assignments! Not enough Coffee!!!
Hello everyone! I’m back in Florence and about to start my new semester next week. As I was going through my old stuff, I found these sketches from last school year and decided to share them.
It seems I have a fascination for drawing glass and transparent objects. Both assignments are from my sketching class and objects are drawn from life.
Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Ciao!
This week, I decided to try out markers. It’s a very new medium for me. I used a bit of watercolor too, because I didn’t have all the colors I needed.
I would like to use it more often. Any suggestions/recommendations on how to work with it will be highly appreciated 🙂

I came across a photograph by George Oze of the beloved Ponte Vecchio and immediately fell in love with it. This is my attempt to recreate it in watercolor.
I have come to discover that, personally I prefer to mix clean modern and contemporary elements with rustic antique pieces to add a dash of personality to the interior. India with its rich heritage and multi cultural influence is a hotbed for antique collectors. I’m always in the hunt for pieces with a history and character.
The Pantone 2017 Color of the Year is fresh, energetic & youthful and it’s already popping up in fashion runways and interior spaces.
